The Elektor Junior is a small educational system with built-in LED display to show the memory contents. Designed and developed by Loys Nachtmann in 1980. It is almost an exact clone of the KIM-1 but with a few small changes.

The computer uses a MOS 6502 CPU with 1k RAM and 8k BASIC on ROM. The system was very basic but allowed for full expansion with a bit of creative thinking. You could run a printer, disk drives, keyboards etc. if you spent enough time wiring them in. There were many publications printed detailing how to expand the Junior. These were published in English, German, French and Dutch. The Junior requires +5V to the logic IC’s and both -5V and +12V to the EEPROM. Expansion was possible using a DIN 41612 Eurocard.
